Do you want to build a snowman? This week our youngest Colts welcomed a few MHS Chargers from Mr. Stearns' carpentry class to build snowmen. What's better than building a snowman? Snowmen that don't have the worry of melting!

Music is a wonderful way to bring people together; our 4th and 5th grade choir did a great job doing this and celebrating the holiday season! Performing under the direction of our music teacher, Ms. Turner, choir students filled the room with beautiful music, spreading holiday cheer and showcasing their hard work.

In case you missed out on the "chirp"...
Second grade students were recently able to learn about animal life cycles and watch the chicken life cycle in real time. Students made unforgettable memories as they watched chickens hatch and learned how to properly care for them. Through partnership with The Virginia Cooperative Extension Program and Monquin Creek Outdoors, all items were donated & supplied to the 2nd grade for this learning experience!

Thank you to our 1st Quarter Navigators for supporting a positive environment!

Do you have a few extra pumpkins ready to be recycled?
2nd grade students had an opportunity to explore mathematics through a pumpkin investigation. Students were tasked with making estimations and creating groups of 10's to find the exact amount of seeds. 67 sets of 10 later, the students' pumpkin contained 673 seeds!
